Agreement reached: Man United close in completing first summer deal

Manchester United are reportedly willing to sanction the sale of Belgium midfielder, Marouane Fellaini. Despite appearing to be a favorite of manager, Jose Mourinho.

The former Everton midfielder is seemingly on his way out of Old Trafford in what will come as a surprise to Manchester United fans all over the world, who don’t chant his name on the terraces, but appreciate him for his handwork anytime he is given the opportunity.

Turkish Football reports via Fotomac that the club is negotiating an advanced transfer of Fellaini to Trabzonspor, who are looking to sign a marquee signing in celebration of their 50th anniversary.

A transfer fee has not been agreed, though, and a deal is still not cast in stone, though personal terms are believed to be agreed.

The Turkish club failed to compete for the Super League this outgone season, seeing the likes of Fenerbache and Galatasaray finish ahead of them, and are looking to sign Fellaini, who has failed to command a regular playing time, and ahead of the World Cup in 2018.

Fellaini is an a central midfielder who is known for his combative displays, fearless attitude and occasional spurts of indiscretion.

He has played for the likes of Standard Liege and Everton, while he signed for Manchester United in 2013, as the first signing of the ill-fated David Moyes era. He has scored 15 times in 133 appearances for the 20-time English champions, winning the FA Cup, Europa League and EFL Cup in the process.
