Deal close? Reliable journalist confirms Griezmann has been told by club to complete move

Kaveh Solkehol, the respected Skysports correspondent has claimed that Manchester United transfer target, Antoine Griezmann has tendered in a transfer request at The Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

Solhekol made this claim on Twitter, by saying that Ruiz Antonito, a Spanish football journalist claims that the Frenchman has asked to leave the club, as he has grown tired of not being able to compete for titles, given that the clout of both Barcelona and Real Madrid is still too much to usurp.

Antonito is a source that is close to Atletico Madrid inner circles, meaning that this latest development is likely to see the 26 year old France international leave the Rojiblancos. Griezmann has been rumored to favour a £86m move to Old Trafford has grown to become one of the best players in world football since his move to Atletico from Real Sociedad.

Under the tutelage of Diego Simeone, Griezmann has evolved his game, offering a more balanced to his attacking game, and scoring and creating in equal measure.
