Man United eyeing another transfer deal, set to complete transfer for hero

After spending 13-year with Manchester United, club legend Wayne Rooney is set to depart Old Trafford for Everton according to Sun.

The 31-year old forward was reportedly withdrawn from United squad that will head to USA on Sunday for their pre-seaon tour. This action has led to rumors insisting the veteran wants to finalize his move to Everton.

It will be recalled Rooney reveals last year that Everton will be the only club beside United if he wasn’t to leave Old Trafford.

“Manchester United and Everton are the only clubs I have played for as a professional footballer,” said Rooney.

“I am happy to say now that, whatever may happen in the future, I will never play for another Premier League club.”

The former Everton man fell down the pecking order in Jose Mourinho starting eleven last seasons, making just 15 Starts in the Premier League.

The Portuguese tactician is currently in search of a striker to lead United attack next season. Both Everton striker Romeru Lukaku and Real Madrid goal poacher Alvaro Morata are being monitored.

Although Mourinho will want to Offload Rooney permanently but the Mirror claim he is likely to leave on loan, which means United paying half of his huge £250,000-a-week wages.
