Deal close: Man United reach agreement ahead of big summer signing

Manchester United look to continue their transfer business with the acquisition of Inter Milan attacking midfielder, Ivan Perisic, according to report from Sunday world.

The 28-year-old Croatian is wanted by Jose Mourinho as part of a fearsome attacking transfer target list that contain James Rodriguez and Romelu Lukaku.

The former Borrusia Dortmund man has impressed for the Nerazzurri this term, and could be offloaded by Inter Milan to fit in their Financial fair play regulations. Gazetta dello Sport reports that a fee of £48m has been agreed by both parties, and all that is left is personal terms to be agreed.

Mourinho personally traveled to Zagreb in March to watch Perisic in an international game and was rumored to have spoken to the player of his intention to make him a better player.

Anthony Martial has not kicked on from his impressive first season at United, offering nowhere the quality that ensured the club shelled out £36m for his signature. The Frenchman is set to be farmed out on loan next season in a bid to get him back to his best, and Perisic would be a suitable replacement.

The United fans, however are skeptical about the amount player who was described as “childish” by current Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp following their falling out at Dortmund.

Perisic is a two footed player capable of playing on either flank. He combines extreme pace, power, aerial ability and is known for his ambition. He has scored 11 times in 42 matches for the 18-time Champions League winners this outgone season, while creating a further 13.
