Forget Giroud: Arsenal prepare No 9 shirt for Madrid target

Arsenal are willing to offer Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappé  an offer they believe he won’t most likely refuse. The Gunners are locked in a four way battle for the most talked about teenager in Europe at the moment, and had an £87m bid turned down.

The likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid are also all interested and will offer Champions League football, but Arsene Wenger recently got offered a new 2 year delay and is pushing for one last assault on capturing the Premier League, something they have not won in 13 years.

Mbappe is the most talked about youngster in Europe after netting a staggering 26 goals for AS Monaco this out gone season, and becoming the youngest player to score in a Champions League semifinal.

He has broken all sorts of records as he helped the principality club win their first league title in 100 years. The reason most clubs are willing to spend such incredulous amount of money on him is that they feel if at 18, he can deliver such astronomical numbers, one can only imagine the impact he will have five six years from now.

Wenger wants to offer him the number 9 jersey, which can only mean one thing: he wants to start the Frenchman as he looks to win the Premier League.

The Gunners are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of Premier League glory and will offer the player a starting berth, something other clubs may not be willing to admit. Real Madrid have Karim Benzema, while Manchester City also boast the likes of Sergio Aguero.

Mbappe is a classy striker, known for his electrifying pace, brilliant runs and impeccable finishing. He has been compared to Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry due to similarities between the pair.
