Sky Sport journalist confirms Arsenal are in talk to complete deal for 29-goals forward

Kaveh Sohelkol, the respected journalist who works for Sky sports has claimed that Arsenal are in talks to sign highly-rated Nigerian forward, Henry Onyekuru.

The 19 year old has been in sparkling form for his Belgian club side, KAS Eupen, scoring 23 goals to top the goalscorers chart in the Belgian league.

The player is wanted by a host of clubs including Celtic, Everton and Southampton but with this latest information from the journalist, it would seem Arsene Wenger is lookkg at the youngster in anticipation for next season.

Solhekol claimed on Twitter that talks are progressing well for the hotshot amid claims he has a £6.8m release clause, which won’t be a problem for Arsenal to cough up.

The Gunners may lose a number of key players after failing to qualify for the Champions League next season, finishing fifth in the Premier League, but have a chance at redemption when they take on Chelsea in the FA cup final on Saturday against Chelsea.

The 19-year-old has been called up by Nigeria for their crucial African Nations Cup qualifier against South Africa on June 10 and could make his debut against the Bafana Bafana.

It is reported that Alexis Sanchez is seemingly close to a move to Bayern Munich, with the Chile Football Federation mistakenly penning down his name as a Bayern Munich player when they announced their squad for the Confederation Cup in Russia next month and Onyekuru is being looked at as one of the players to replace the star forward, who has scored 29 times already this season.
