Deal close: Greizmann seal agreement with Man United, club want deal done in weeks

There are few transfer stories in recent weeks that have been dominant as Antoine Griezmann to Manchester United. The 25 year old Atletico Madrid striker is wanted by Jose Mourinho to spearhead his attack, as he aims to launch an assault on the Champions League and Premier League titles.

The Red Devils were reportedly rumored to have agreed personal terms with the France international back in January and are reportedly ready to meet Griezmann’s release clause, set at a whopping £86m.

It is believed that nearly all formalities have been met and that a deal could be brokered by the end of next month which is few weeks away from now, according to The Independent.

The Red Devils are not keen to make the transfer as drawn as that of Pogba, who joined last summer for a world record transfer fee. Griezmann has also fueled the speculations in the media recently after saying there was a 6/10 chance of him joining United in the summer when hanging out with friends earlier this month.

It is also reported that Griezmann’s commercial partners are already making commercials and advertisements that is aimed at targeting United’s massive fan base.

Manchester United star, Pogba and Griezmann are known to be very close friends and it is beloved the midfielder’s influence is necessary to convince the former Sociedad man to swap Madrid for Manchester.

Griezmann is a forward capable of playing anywhere across the front three and has made 53 appearances for Diego Simeone’s team this season, scoring an impressive 26 goals.
