Sky Sport journalist confirms highly-rated ace will play for United next season

Respected journalist, Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea is happy at Manchester United amid claims that Real Madrid are close to sealing a move for the former Atletico man.

De Gea was left out of the final two matches of the season, amid fears he was frozen out by manager, Jose Mourinho Mourinho who believes his head has been turned by a return to the Spanish capital.

United have the benefit of playing Champions League football next season, and with quality additions on the horizon, there is every probability that he could stay at The Theatre of Dreams.

Solhekol, who works with SkySports, claimed this on his personal Twitter handle, news that will surely delight millions of Red Devils fans all over the world.

In 2015, De Gea was close to a move to Los Blancos, but the deal fell through on the last day of the summer transfer window due to some failed paperwork dealings.

The 26-year-old Spaniard has recently grown forlorn in recent weeks, and has been reported to have even agreed personal teems with the Champions League finalists.

De Gea joined Manchester United in a £19m deal from Atletico in 2011 as the long term replacement for Edwin van den Sar.

He initially struggled to adapt to the physicality of the English game, but has grown in that time ever since, going on to become arguably the second best goalkeeper in the world only behind Manuel Neuer. He has made 269 appearances for the 20-time English champions, winning a raft of trophies along the way.
