Various report in the English media claimed that Premier League defending champions Chelsea have snapped up young star Daishawn Redan from Ajax.
A picture of him holding Chelsea jersey No. 9 at Stamford Bridge also surface in the internet. However, it was claimed that the Blues can’t hand over the No.9 jersey last won by Monaco star Radamel Falcao to the young teenager, who will only feature for Chelsea youth team.
However, the forward has confirmed the news via his instagram account in which he was picture signing a contract with the caption “It’s official I have signed a contract with Chelsea.”
Radan is the third player the Blues have signed this summer after signing Willy Cabellero on a free transfer from Manchester City and young star Ethan Ampadu from Exeter.
The lethal striker capable of playing from the flanks is one of the best prospects in Dutch football. Before his move to Stamford Bridge, the 16-year old forward represented Ajax at the under-17 level.
The question is does the Blues really need to add more young stars to their youth team as they continually refuse to inject them into their first team.
They sold promising striker Dominic Solanke and Dutch defender Nathan Ake to Premiership team this season.
